Greek Wedding Nassau| Demetrios & Shana

Demetrios and Shana had their Greek wedding at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church located in downtown Nassau, Bahamas. I’ve photographed quite a few traditional Greek Weddings at this church. I never get tired of doing them. It’s such a wonderful sanctuary.

I love shooting Greek weddings because they are so rich in symbolism and tradition. The couple prepared for the ceremony at The Atlantis Paradise Island Resort. I captured the Red Scarf blessing of both the bride and the groom before we left for the church. The Church is a short ride from Atlantis near the heart of Downtown Nassau.

I captured formal and group photos at the Church after the ceremony. As you can see I was able to get a shot of the whole group rich next to the church. Once formals were done we took the 10 minute ride back to Paradise Island for the reception.

The reception was held on the Dig Deck at the Atlantis. This is an open air deck is next to a waterfall and lover looks the main Lagoon. It is also close to the entrance of the famous Dig Ruins aquarium. The reception was awesome. There was laughter, dancing, even an unexpected dip in the lagoon by two guest. The photographer even ended up in a photos. Everyone had a blast.

And that’s the story of Demetrios & Shana Nassau Greek Wedding
