Kristin and George had their Atlantis Bahamas destination wedding on an unforgettable November Day. One of the things that made this day unique is that it rained quite a bit. Everyone hopes for great sunny weather on the day of their outdoor wedding event. It’s usually not rainy in November in The Bahamas, but on this particular day it rained buckets.

Through the rain 2 amazing things happened:

1. The bride and groom didn’t seem to notice at all. Not one bit. Not even the rain dampened their smiles and excitement for each other.
2. I got one of my favorite photos of all time. It’s the one with the couple leaving the ceremony being drenched in pouring rain, yet happy as can be with smiles as bright as the sun. They say life is 20% what happens to you and 80% how you respond. This photo is proof of that. And that’s what I love so much about it.

The day started out with pre ceremony photos in The Cove Atlantis. The videographer and I stopped by Geroge’s room to get a few quick photos. Then it was off to the Bride’s room. Kristin, her Bridesmaids and mom all enjoyed their time together while prepping for the ceremony. There was a bit of Champagne and lots of laughs and smiles.

The ceremony was held at The French Cloister at The Ocean Club, A Fourseasons Resort. As the bride arrived that’s when the rain came down, or as we say in the Bahamas, that when the Liquid Sunshine started. But, we all kept on trucking and the minister performed the ceremony. At the end the bride andgroom kissed, everyone cheered and there were smiled all around.

The reception was held in the Grand Ballroom at the Atlantis Bahamas Resort. Kristin, George and their guests had a fun filled evening of laughter and dancing. This group never missed a beat and not even rain put a damper on their day.
