Jennifer & Ray had their fun filled Destination Wedding at the beautiful SLS Baha Mar Resort. This resort has quickly become one of my favorites for weddings because of the large amount of beautiful photo options.

One of the unique things about this wedding was the change from the traditional flow of events. For this event, we did all the formal, family and couple’s photos before the ceremony. This allowed the couple to get right into enjoying the cocktail hour and reception with friends and family after the ceremony. This also allowed them to have the ceremony later without having to worry about losing light for the formal photos.

I captured the formal photos in a garden area to the east of the main SLS tower. The Sun was at the perfect angle to bath us in rich golden rays. When we got done with the formal photos we headed to the Beach for the ceremony. The cocktail and reception venue was set up right next to the ceremony site, so it was an easy transition moving over to them.

The setting sun and white sand beach combined to make the perfect setting for the cocktail party. When night fell, the fun filled reception came to life as everyone danced under the stars.
